Tutorials and Development for Android Apps
Publishing an app that makes money does take money, and I like free stuff so one day I will try this but for now I will set this to the side for the moment.
Making Android apps for myself
If you really want to make an app to sell in the Google Play Store that will come in a later post with some of the best sites. For personal use, such as, you want to make an app that pulls your RSS feeds or have a single app that will give you access to multiple sites, or multiple apps there are sites where you can do this for free.
Andromo
- Is a website that allows you to build an app that does this and it is free. The only free part about this is making the app for personal use and downloading it to the android device that you specify. The way that you get the app on the device is through e-mail. Once downloaded the app is ready for testing. After testing the app, you can make whatever tweaks you want (check the site out, but I didn't find that many). Then resend the app, and it is ready for use.
- The only problem that I have really found with the site is that there just are not that many different types of apps that one can make. I would strongly recommend that you try the site out for yourself, this is just one person's critique. One thing that I did notice is it is a site where you can publish your writings or pictures within an application you design. The only reason that I used this site is so that I could get access to different websites within one application for android.
- I give it 5 of 5 stars on ease of use and 2 of 5 stars on content.
AppsGeyser
This on is a little better. Once again it still cost money to publish and monetize it. It does give you the ability to share it.
- It is extremely to use, and it only takes a couple of clicks. While it is really easy it only gives you three options. If you have your own personal website, blog, hubpages, squidoo, and so on. It is great, as for developing an app not so much. I really am starting to miss Google's App Developer.
- 5 of 5 stars for ease of use, 2 of 5 stars for content.
- you can look at the app here http://www.appsgeyser.com/164563 I encourage you to download it if you want. But you don't have to.
- Andromo.com has more options.
